World Turtle Day Sand Sculptures
Create a sand sculpture this World Turtle Day and help protect our threatened sea turtles.
Join the fun this World Turtle Day and help us send a serious message to the Australian Environment Minister Tony Burke: we need large marine sanctuaries across Northern Australia to protect our sea turtles.
If you can't make it to Mindil beach, but still want to get involved, create a sand sculpture on your local beach or sand pit and email a picture to sealife@amcs.org.au or post it to our Support Marine Sanctuaries facebook page

Guided Sea-Kayak Tour with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS)
Join AMCS on guided sea-kayak tour of Darwin Harbour and learn about our Top End sea life first hand.
Northern Territory marine biologist Dr Carol Palmer will share with us her passion and knowledge of marine mammals and we may even get to see a dugong, turtle or dolphin up close.

Plastic Bags Banned

MBSMA have voted to ban the use of plastic bags at the Mindil Markets from the start of the 2011 season.
Mindil Markets have a commitment to minimizing and reducing our impact on the environment. In order to honour this commitment we will be banning plastic bags from April 2011.
