just got back from a school trip to darwin from victoria mindil was the best eating spot
had a great visit to the markets during a recent visit. Territory day fireworks were great over the water.
Does anyone rent out picnic chairs/ tables, glasses and eskies. I'd love to be able to "get a table" at the "Melting Pot" restaurant.
I lived there in '92 for 18 months and shared a market stall with a friend. Loved it then and looking forward to coming back in August for the first revisit. I am so excited!
Joseph and I will come to visit your fantastic market again coming August. We're wondering if Jabaru still performs on the market. That would be GREAT 'cause we're Jabaru-fans!
my husband & I came to Darwin for our annual holiday, which we organised around the Mindil markets on Thursday night. We were told the sunset and markets were fantastic, so we had to see for our self. It was all true we had a fantastic time and just loved the markets, only have one problem when we were there we listened to a fantasic band, they were both aboriginal and white, their music was great, we did try to buy their cds but their eptos machine was having problems. I was so disappointed the guy playing the digideroo was so good. Do you happen to know who the band is and what do they call them selves. they played modern rock etc music. We were at the markets on the 17th june 2010. Please could you help us. Thanking you Debbie and Paul Ward. Keep up the great work, also loved how many families were enjoying the night there as well.
